This weekend, Beehive Chicago, a vintage shop in East Garfield Park, hosted Beehive in Bloom, a Vintage Fashion Show and Benefit!
20% of the proceeds from ticket sales will be donated to Howard Brown Health Center, an organization whose mission is to to eliminate the disparities in health care experienced by lesbian, gay, bisexual and transgender people through research, education and the provision of services that promote health and wellness.
Vintage fashion, mimosas, and benefits for the LGBT* community? I’m in!
So Sarah and I piled into the car and made our way to the loft.
The large industrial elevator had chairs for those of us in large shoes to have a seat and champagne as we rode up! Talk about classy.
We arrived a little early, plenty of time to scout the racks of various vintage vendors and take some photos!
Inspired by spring, I popped on my favorite SheInside dress, a silky number with a floral and coin print. The best part? It cost less than $25. (You can also find this dress featured on Corilynn!) Paired with my Sam & Libby Cheri Pumps I was ready to go!
We all slowly made our way into another area of the loft where the show would take place, took our seats, and the show began.
The pieces featured were all available for sale that day and all came from vendors featured in Beehive’s showroom. Below are just SOME of my favorites.
As well as, of course, some snooping around the showroom.
