America’s Largest Urban Antiques Market, Randolph Street Market, hosted a season kick off Garden Party for a bunch of us Chicago bloggers and friends at the tail end of May to get everyone pumped for a summer of antiques shopping. And let me tell you, I’m so jazzed. We’re plotting a move in the near future and I know exactly where I want to go for decor and furniture. This place is the best!
There’s two sections to the market, outdoors and indoors. Vendors were still working on setting up everything for the weekend so we didn’t get to see EVERYTHING but we all got to take a good sweep of both sections. I fell in love with some furniture, a tannery, more jewelry than you can shake a stick at, and so much more. This place is a midcentury modern decor lover’s paradise.
I met up with Allie of Allie’s Fashion Alley and Allison of The Snotty Little Bitch to enjoy some sips and snacks and was pleasantly surprised to find Erin of Loop Looks as well! We got a great group together and really enjoyed all they had to offer.
Within the cabana, sponsored by Bangtel, were amazing boozy inspired cupcakes, chef created snacks to sample, drinks all around, and a myriad of inflatables and other props to take photos with. Basically, blogger paradise all inside a large yellow and white tent.
And right outside? JOOJ Blow Dry doing fast hair styles to freshen up those of us struggling with the intense humidity that day and just to try a fun new look. I got braids, Allie got curls, Erin got straightened out, and Allison got some amazing texture. It was so much fun!
This was a great way to kick off not only the beginning of the summer antiquing season but summer in general. I highly recommend checking out the market and all of the wonderful goodies it has hiding, waiting to be found and cherished forever. Cheers!
So cute and summery! Sad I missed this one.
Cheers,
Rachel

Dannie, I am in love with your braided hairstyle here! I really want to try something similar one day, even if it’s not quite my style, lol. I just find it so summery and romantic:)

It was so much fun to rock! And was a super simple braid wrapped in on itself. I definitely recommend giving it a try. You should Pin the photo so you remember!
