It’s STILL NYFW and I’m STILL not there. But I had so much fun dressing up in fashion week worthy looks. But sometimes, keeping comfy is significantly more important, which is what I was going for with this look.
I’ve fallen in love with boyfriend jeans. It took me forever to jump on that trend but now I’m so glad I did. These are super easy to dress up with some nice heels and a blazer or down with a chambray like this.

I somehow magically managed to survive tech week! My show is open and on its feet and I couldn’t be happier. This is always my favorite part of the process- the run of the show. Rehearsals are fun and all and it’s a great time to get to know everyone but the run of the show is when I feel like I really get to connect with my cast. It’s also when I’m more in my element. Working as a stagehand for so long, I’m so much better at actual performances instead of rehearsal. So this next month is going to be super great!
This look came out of “today was gloomy. tomorrow is going to be gloomy. damnit, I want to look super cute and combat the gloom!”
The skirt is ancient- from sometime in college. But it’s got an awesome pattern and pockets. so it remains a staple in my closet. It came from Kohl’s once upon a time.
This necklace is my new go-to. It’s simple, elegant, and adds the perfect amount of sparkle to any outfit!
Cheers to some sunny weather coming up and a killer weekend!

Being a new blogger, I’m convinced, is more difficult than being a seasoned blogger for one specific reason: scheduling. In case you haven’t noticed, I’ve been really bad about creating and sticking to a schedule.
Like… Yeah, I could have a post Monday Wednesday Friday and schedule them ahead of time and stuff… But what if something post-worthy happens and I get ahead of myself and have a bunch of posts scheduled for, say, the next two weeks? Suddenly I’m inclined to break my schedule in the interest of keeping everything up to date, too. You don’t want to hear about Valentine’s Day in March, after all.
So bear with me while I work on finding a happy medium here. And in the mean time, enjoy this outfit made of a combination of old, new, and borrowed things!
The chambray is brand new. I tried to do a no-spend January. And then found this. Oops. The blazer is several years old from Francesca’s and a favorite of mine. My tried and true leather leggings from Nordstrom Rack, and an arm party featuring a bracelet of my lady’s (the big circles one). Throw in a pair of booties and I’m good to go!
