This is the first installment in my new Inspiration Series. Every Thursday, get a post filled with images meant to inspire!
Ughh! Let me tell you how cold it is right now. When I left this morning, it was -8. When I got to work it was -4. And that’s without the wind chill from the wall of moving air coming off the Lake right now. I need warm thoughts to get me through this! Just think, though. The first day of spring is nearly a month away! That’s gotta count for something, right?
So in the meantime, curl up with a cuppa and enjoy these warm thoughts of beaches, Chicago in the summer, and some awesome summer activities.

You know those weeks where you have so much work to do you don’t know how you’ll get it all done and in the meantime oh my goodness everything seems to be exploding in your personal life and you are simply running out of energy to do things like eat let alone blog?
That’s been the last week for me. And will continue to be this coming week.
Now don’t get me wrong on the work front, I love having work to do. I love that I’m so busy, that I’m not idle. It’s a refreshing change from the way the last few months have been at work. And rehearsals are kicking into high gear — this show is going to be stellar — which is also great! I’m extremely lucky in the work department right now. And I’m grateful.
But outside of work and offline, I have been incredibly grey lately. Every day has been a cuddle up with the dog and binge watch Netflix all day. I’m just out of energy. I can’t bring myself to get up and cook some days, let alone sit and blog. I’m craving spring, lacking inspiration, and in need of something to snap me back into working order. While having down time to rest, relax, and recover from life is important, it’s unbelievably frustrating for me.
I’ve had these photos saved up for ages. Waiting for something like this where I’m just out of energy.
I have several exciting posts planned and in the drafting stage. I have a whole series I would like to come up soon. There’s so much I want to do. I just need to refill the tank first so I don’t completely burn myself out.
That being said, while there’s this lull, what sort of posts would you guys like to see? What stuff have you loved in the past? Share your thoughts in the comments!
