Spring has sprung, the sun is shining, flowers are blooming, and I’ve made the switch to this amazing quilted bag from YesStyle.com that totally looks like a Chanel bag but came at 1/100th of the price! So I figured it was high time to do a “What’s in my bag” post for you guys to get a peek into what this blogger carries around on the everyday.
Kate Spade Wallet
I’m obsessed with this wallet. Sarah gave it as a Christmas gift, saying it was time for me to upgrade from the Vera Bradley number that held everything including my cell phone since freshman year of college. So maybe it was a bit tattered and falling apart. But it still worked!
Point being, this guy is amazing. Gorgeous, simple, Kate Spade, and everything I could need in a wallet. There’s even a double zip pocket so I can keep change in one side and business cards in the other. What’s not to love?!
And speaking of business cards, I carry these everywhere. I have a small stash in every single bag and wallet I carry so that I’m never without them. Obviously my blog business cards go everywhere with me. But so do the ones for the photo business Sarah and I just launched. That way, no matter the occasion, I’m locked and loaded to network my butt off!
Firmoo Prescription Sunglasses
I’ve discovered the miracle that is prescription sunglasses and I’m never going back! Sunglasses aren’t a thing I have been using simply because my vision is so awful that my options were seeing or sunglasses. And then I discovered Firmoo and it’s wonderful. I can see and block the sun at the same time. Which sounds like such a basic concept but seriously, it’s been revolutionary. So I always have these babies on me and have been wearing them at every possible opportunity. It’s been wonderful. And look at how adorable the case is?! I’m obsessed.
I know, that doesn’t seem like a lot in a bag. There’s other stuff but it’s basic stuff like chapstick and the card I buzz in to work with. But that stuff’s boring. So this is the fun stuff! And I was just dying for an excuse to share this amazing bag with you all.
What fun stuff do you keep in your bag? Share in the comments!

New Year’s Eve is my absolute favorite time to get glammed up for a night out. Even if it’s just going to a party at a friend’s place, I love an excuse to wear sequins and bright red lipstick.
This dress was actually a hand-me-down from a friend but I’m linking some of my favorite sequin stripes down below. Enjoy the scroll!
I have a rule of avoiding driving at all costs on NYE so I only go to places where I can walk or take public transit. This outfit is perfect for walking. Those are fleece lined leggings keeping me nice and toasty!
Check back on Thursday for my second NYE look!

Sunday may have dawned grey and gloomy but with the promise of champagne, beautiful tables, and even more beautiful bridal gowns, my thoughts were sunny and excited. The Afternoon of Bridal Luxury is an annual bridal walk around the shops near the Mag Mile here in Chicago that touches on bakeries, dresses, venues, tablescapes. You’re handed a map and a bag and a mimosa and sent on your way.
The walk included places like Kate Spade, Vera Wang, Del Frisco’s Steakhouse, and more. As you walked from shop to shop, you went inside and looked around. Some places had presentations, others gift bags, others yet had bakeries set up with tables inside full of samples (I ate so many macarons, I don’t think I’ll ever move again).
Upon leaving each boutique, you got a stamp on your map card. When you filled the card, you got to go to the Waldorf Astoria ballroom and pick up a swag bag filled with promos and other goodies from participating vendors.
I loved the day! Had so much fun running around town with one of my bridesmaids, learning lots and even finding a dress that made me swoon. So now I have some fuel for when I go actual dress shopping.
Enjoy a few more snaps from the day below!
